Introduction to meditation practices

Do you feel you’re a complete failure at meditation? Can your mind stay focused for a minute and not a minute more? Do you spend the whole time simply trying not to think about how many minutes have passed and how many more minutes you have to sit until you’re done? Do you wonder if you’re allowed to scratch your itches when you’re meditating? And, by the way, what the heck is a mantra and how often do you have to meditate before you can levitate?
And the ultimate question... how do we establish a daily meditation practice and what should it include?
This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to learn a variety of meditation techniques which lead to the beginning of a deeper spiritual practice.
What to bring: Your own lunch; beverages and dessert are provided. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a light blanket, a bandana and a notebook.
